October 13, 2009, Microsoft recently fixed a number of security holes in its windows systems and softwares including one of the security flaw that was already attacked.

Bug Fixes that were included:

Windows Media Runtime - it was said that attackers remotely execute malware by tricking a user into playing a booby-trapped audio or video file.

Forged Secure Sockets Layer Certificates - (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari) flaws of CryptoAPI.

Zues, aka Zbot and PRG, a trojan virus that has the ability to evade most of the Anti Virus Programs. It could even stealth itself even if the Anti Virus program is up to date, according to the firm Trusteer.

How does it Evade AV programs?

Zues escapes detection using sophisticated techniques such as root-kit technology, according to Trusteer.

What does Zeus do?

Zues just quietly hide itself while waiting for the user to log in on their bank websites. It then sends login information to a remote server, sometimes use of instant messaging.

It is better for Google Apps users to be cautious on publishing their docs, sheets and presentations. The users have still the option whether to publish their work publicly or unpublish publicly.

Firefox users! beware Of Fake Adobe Flash Player Add-on!

According to theregister.co.uk, reprobates created a spyware that targets Firefox users. The spyware creates a Firefox add-on called "Adobe Player 0.2", which has nothing to do with either Adobe or Mozilla.

The malware (EBOD-A) hide its self as a Adobe Flash Player update. Its real function is to log the user's browsing history, especially Google search queries within Firefox. After logging, the information is sent to a hacker-controlled server

EBOD-A also inject ads to user's Google search result pages, Trend Micro warns, which adds that the malware appears to be a spreading via forum posts.

Applied wager between a Pessimist and Optimist

Everybody knows that being a pessimist sucks.Yet, for some people, they find it hard to be optimistic about their lives. Maybe they have their own reasons I

guess. I personally don't want people especially my friends to be a pessimist. So i came up with an idea of waging between optimist and pessimist.

In terms of problems:

Pessimist

If Solved

- You wasted your time for being a stressful person

If Not Solved

- You Suffer more from your stress and your life sucks!
- You would become more pessimist about your life.
- You will loose your ability to handle problems in life
- Worst case would be Suicidal

Optimist

If Solved

- You become more confident in dealing with problems
- You didn't waste your time on being a stressful person

If Not Solved

- You still have the confident in dealing with problems
- Even if you didn't solve your problem at least you did what you could do best
- You wouldn't lose hope on your life
- you still have the ability to smile..=)

This wager was inspired by one of my favorite topics(PASCAL'S WAGER THEORY) we had discussed in our philosophy subject.
Sometimes if you can not reason out things for you to be able to decide which path you take, you just have to give in yourself to practicality.

Tips for preventing scam on PTC(Paid To Click) sites

A lot of ptc sites have been created these days. It is hard to determine whether it is a scam or not. Some may be obvious but some are not. So in order to prevent such scams on ptc sites here are important points to remember.

1.) Do not immediately select upgraded or premium user member.

- Most ptc sites offer subscriptions that will make you pay a certain amount, for you to gain more features compared to free subscribers. i.e. if u subscribe to a ptc site you will be able to payout cash for a lesser minimum requirement, bonus cash, bonus items included when you subscribe etc... So it is better to register first as a free memeber in order for you to check if they would really pay you. Plus you will be not taking risk to pay the said ptc site without an assurance that it is not a scam.

2.) Try to check the said ptc site if it has been reported already as scam.

- It would be better if you try to search the web for you to check if the ptc site you are interested in has not been yet reported or calimed as scam.

3.)Try to check if the ptc site has a forum.

- Forums are important so that you will be able to see comments from registered members of the site. It is important to evaluate the site through by means of their comments.

Talk About Facebook These Days

Here in our country, Philippines, we are always inclined to social network sites. I think Philippines is one of the most people who registers and visits to social networking online in the whole world. Wow, its like almost every Filipino knows about this social network sites. Its almost like its always the latest trends to us these days.

Somehow, Facebook has some sort of uniqueness compared to other existing social networks. why? because it has also included flash games. Yes they have included flash games and that's what made them unique. They also keep records on your score in the site so that everyone can compete with your high score anytime. That adds excitement and uniqueness to their flash games. Although some social network sites today are also adapting games to compete with facebook, as far as i know.

Facebook has also this IM in the site which allows you to see who is online and be ale to chat with that person. Cool I can say that, because it was the first time that i saw a social network site that has this kind of feature.

These are some features that made us attract to Facebook compared to other social network sites especially to us Filipinos. There are a lot of Strong competitors of Facebook, in example, MySpace which is the most social networking used in the us and other countries. But here in the Philippines majority of us uses Facebook in social networking because we find it the latest trend and the most entertaining site.

One Piece Fan Tribute

One Piece for me can be the best anime season i have ever seen. For what reason? well number one is about the style of character details face. i mean, look at their funny faces..it seems they do look like cartoons unlike other anime shows who are trying to really copy the realistic details of a human person's face. Second, they really have a lot of episodes as of this moment. They have about 415 episodes! talk about episodes to watch! I dunno if there are other anime shows that have more episodes compared to one piece. Lastly, just like other anime show they also have a lot of values entailed with the story such as friendship, dreams, hard work, moving on from the past, acceptance etc...you name it. Truly One Piece is a great story in terms of comedy, drama, action, fantasy. One Piece is spectacular! More power to One Piece!
