October 13, 2009, Microsoft recently fixed a number of security holes in its windows systems and softwares including one of the security flaw that was already attacked.

Bug Fixes that were included:

Windows Media Runtime - it was said that attackers remotely execute malware by tricking a user into playing a booby-trapped audio or video file.

Forged Secure Sockets Layer Certificates - (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari) flaws of CryptoAPI.

SMB2 file-sharing technology - white-hat's exploits of its vulnerability.

Beware Of Zues!

Zues, aka Zbot and PRG, a trojan virus that has the ability to evade most of the Anti Virus Programs. It could even stealth itself even if the Anti Virus program is up to date, according to the firm Trusteer.

How does it Evade AV programs?

Zues escapes detection using sophisticated techniques such as root-kit technology, according to Trusteer.


What does Zeus do?

Zues just quietly hide itself while waiting for the user to log in on their bank websites. It then sends login information to a remote server, sometimes use of instant messaging.

Public Google Application Docs and Sheets will be crawled in Search Engines

A notice given to Google apps users. Anytime soon Google will allow search engines, including Google, to crawl and index published docs.

It is better for Google Apps users to be cautious on publishing their docs, sheets and presentations. The users have still the option whether to publish their work publicly or unpublish publicly.

Mozilla releases its latest Jetpack (Jetpack 0.5, bootstrap edition). This current release of the Jetpack comes with more features such as API, updated Twitter library and easier installation procedure.
